MY VERDICT MARTIN KEOWN

-

HE HAS started the season superbly but if Eden Hazard wants to be considered the best in Europe, he must join the queue. He is behind Luka Modric, who won the European Cup, played in the World Cup final and was named the best player in Russia. Kylian Mbappe became the first teenager since Pele to score in a World Cup final. Gareth Bale hit a wonderstrike in the Champions League final. We have not even mentioned Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. Hazard can be the top player in world football but he must be more consistent. He is clearly having fun working for Maurizio Sarri and embracing his new-found freedom in this Chelsea team. Keep this up and Hazard is in for a big year.
