A GEM of a task kicks off tonight’s new episode. The contenders have to raise the heart rate of Alex Horne, whose calm facade is rarely disturbed by anything — that incident with the cake last series notwithsta­nding. The brutal approach taken by Rhod Gilbert (pictured) wouldn’t look out of place in Guantanamo Bay.

LOVE hurts in the Valentine’s Day episode of this wildly OTT U.S. drama, which features a string of romancerel­ated injuries for the emergency workers. First, an airborne marriage proposal goes wrong, before Abby and Buck’s date takes a bad turn, and Athena faces a very, very angry woman.

FREEVIEW MOVIE OVIE The Five-Year Engagement, 9pm, ITV2

A RATHER decent romcom of arrested developmen­t, starring Emily Blunt and Jason Segel (pictured) as the couple delaying their wedding because of her career. Segel andd Blunt have strong chemistry, but above all, their situation is as believable as it is entertaini­ng.

ACTION FLICK The Commuter, Amazon Prime

THE latest film in which Liam Neeson stars as a character who finds his back against the wall, then punches his way out of trouble to satisfying effect. Vera Farmiga plays the enigmatic woman who puts his everyman commuter in a pickle.

TRUE CRIME The Menendez Murders: Erik Tells All, 10pm, Really

THE story of 18-year-old Erik and 21-year-old Lyle Menendez — who, in 1989, murdered their parents in Beverly Hills — has been told many times; in fact, it’s being dramatised tonight on Pick (9pm). But this compelling new, five-part series is told by Erik himself, from prison.

DATING AGENCY The Ultimate Matchmaker, M 10pm, W

LLARA tries to help the very French Pierre, a swanky 35-year-old bbanker who has had his ’art broken because he hasn’t been ‘picking the good ones’. The matchmaker is concerned, though, about the depthd of his sense of humour, and sends him out on a dry run with employee Dalya.

ATHLETE’S STORY On Wings Of Eagles, 10pm, Sky Premiere

JOSEPH FIENNES stars as the runner (and rugby player) Eric Liddell in this fact-based drama. It tells the story after he refused to run on Sunday at the 1924 Olympics and returned to China, his spiritual home.

STAND-UP SET Phil Wang At The Comedy Store, 10.30pm, Comedy Central

PHIL WANG, who is also in the current series of Taskmaster (see left), delivers some bedroom humour as the headline act for this week’s new collection of stand-up comedy. He seems to delight in making the audience uncomforta­ble, and he’s certainly very good at it.
