UK cider production
KOPPARBERG will produce cider in britain as it plans to mitigate the fallout from brexit in one of its key markets.
The Swedish brewer will secure existing supply agreements with UK pubs and bars by starting british production on a small scale.
It could then ramp up production in britain to respond to market demand. The move, which was decided at least as early as May, was put down to uncertainty around the brexit negotiations.
Food and drink businesses importing goods into the UK have previously warned a hard or no- deal brexit could disrupt supply chains.
