THE joke is thinner in this sequel adventure for the wisecracki­ng immortal superhero, in which he builds a team and takes life slightly more seriously. It’s still fun, if you can take all the violence.

JAMES NESBITT (pictured) plays the London detective who is charmed (or cursed?)?) with supernatur­ally good luck in Sky’s drama, which feels like a U.S. series filmed with a British cast. It’s glossy, occasional­ly mildly hammy and not short on ambitious action sequences.

AFTER Jason Statham’s hit man fakes his own death, he is lured out of sunny retirement for three kills. Jessica Alba and Tommy Lee Jones co-star in a run-of-the-mill sequel to the 2011 actioner.

CHERRY HEALEY is ‘speeding towards 40’ and looking into using surgery to turn back the clock.
