FRANK LAMPARD believes Mason Mount is ready for a senior England call-up, pressing his point by recalling how Trevor Brooking was capped while playing in the Second Division for West Ham. England boss Gareth Southgate was at Pride Park on Tuesday to watch the 19-year-old (right) as he put in an influential display for Lampard’s Derby against Blackburn. Lampard said: ‘Mason is that good that whatever level you put him in he will do anything that he wants to. ‘Championship players should be with England if deserved. Most players come through the Championship in one shape or form. It never did Trevor Brooking any harm. I grew up watching West Ham, at a time when they won the FA Cup when they were in the Second Division.’
