WHAT IS IT? A metallic- looking blue mask that leaves wearers resembling a Smurf.
Known as Anti Gravity masks, they contain blue marine algae and hyaluronic acid, which is said to tighten and lift the skin — and give everyone a laugh online.
Forty-two-year-old U.S. actress Diane Kruger’s attracted 21,858 ‘likes’ in one hit. Meanwhile, Katie Price received 6,200 ‘likes’ when promoting the £16.95 Glow Mask from ZeroSkin — and, for once, she didn’t take her clothes off.
DOCTOR’S VERDICT: ‘While these claim to tighten and lift the skin, the effect will last only a few hours. It’s no different to using that old trick of haemorrhoid cream, which contains vasoconstrictors — chemicals which temporarily shrink the blood vessels — under your eyes to reduce the appearance of eyebags.’ 3/5
