A baby Annabel for king of clubs Richard Caring

HATS off to restaurant tycoon Richard Caring, whose wife Patricia is expecting their third child next month.

The couple, who wed in March, plan to name their new daughter Annabel after the famous nightclub which he reopened this year in Berkeley Square following a £55 million revamp.

Mark Birley founded the original nightclub in 1963, naming it in honour of his then wife, Lady Annabel Vane-Tempest- Stewart (now Goldsmith). ‘It’s no disrespect to Lady Annabel,’ Caring assures me.

‘It’s a new Annabel’s, a new era.’
