Dimbleby puts the past behind him

-

he’S the first to admit he’s led a colourful life, but BBC Any Questions host Jonathan Dimbleby, 74, says he will never reveal all and write his memoirs.

‘I’m not in favour of them,’ he says. ‘You have to have a very large ego,’ he adds, speaking at the Quintessentially Foundation and Dimbleby Cancer Care World’s Greatest Quiz Night at St Thomas’ hospital, in Central London. ‘But you wouldn’t catch me writing my autobiography — no fear. Memoirs are fine if you are happy to tell lies. Or you have had the most riveting secret life nobody knows about.’
