Boots takes No7 to China
HIGH Street beauty chain Boots is set to take its famous No7 make-up brand overseas to Chinese shoppers.
Boots parent Walgreens Boots Alliance has signed a deal with Chinese ecommerce giant Alibaba to sell its brands amid soaring demand for international brands in China.
It will see Boots sell a number of its most popular brands including No7, which was first launched by the retailer back in 1935, as a selection of 11 skincare products.
It now consists of a vast range of make-up, in addition to body products and both men’s and women’s skincare.
Sales of skincare products hit £21bn in China last year with purchases of make-up reaching £3.8bn.
