25 years for Louis Vuitton model who killed rival

- Daily Mail Reporter

A LOUIS Vuitton model who murdered his more successful rival in a row over a girl has been jailed for life with a minimum of 25 years.

George Koh, 24, was said to have been obsessed with Harry Uzoka, who became annoyed when his fellow model began mimicking some of his poses on social media. Koh, pictured, also claimed to have slept with Mr Uzoka’s girlfriend and the pair agreed to settle their dispute ‘face to face’.

When they met in Shepherd’s Bush, west London, on January 11 Mr Uzoka was accompanied by his friend, Adrian Harper, and both had dumbbell bars. But Koh was carrying two knives and brought along two friends – Merse Dikanda, who had a machete, and Jonathan Okigbo.

Mr Uzoka, 25, was cornered and knifed three times by Koh – once in the back, once in the left shoulder and a fatal wound in the chest that penetrated his heart. He died outside his home nearby despite efforts to save him.

Koh, of Camden, north London, who had denied murder, showed little emotion at the Old Bailey as he was jailed. Dikanda, 24, was jailed for a minimum of 22 years for murder and Okigbo, also 24, who was acquitted of murder, was jailed for 14 years for manslaughter.

Judge Wendy Joseph QC described Mr Uzoka as a ‘young man of exceptional talent’. She said he helped his younger rival in his modelling career but told Koh that the relationship was ruined by his behaviour, which ‘swung between excessive admiration and spite’.
