DESCRIBED
as a ‘Cameron cutie’ when first elected as a Tory MP in 2010, Claire Perry has splendidly reconciled the demands of a parliamentary career with the hurly-burly of romance.
The 54-year-old, who was appointed as a Business Minister last year, has, I hear, just got married to Professor Bill O’Neill of Cambridge University. ‘It was a hush-hush affair,’ says one of Perry’s constituents in Devizes, Wiltshire.
When the MP separated in 2013 from her first husband — City fund manager Clayton Perry, with whom she has three children — she dismissed suggestions that she was having an affair as ‘wild speculation’, only for a newspaper to reveal her relationship with O’Neill three months later.
