We work hard but our families still go without

-

BrEXiT is in our faces every day, but our country’s troubles with education, the nHS and policing are much closer to home.

Those of us who keep out of trouble, pay our way and contribute to society are the backbone of Britain. We are the structure that holds the country together.

The powers- that- be can’t continue to govern as they do. We need a government made up of people of sound judgment who know, or have taken the trouble to find out, what it is like to be living in austerity Britain.

Have they struggled to get their child assessed for a learning difficulty such as dyslexia?

are they living with a health issue not brought on by a lifestyle choice? do they have to shop in discount stores because they can’t afford the weekly food bill at other supermarkets?

despite both parents working, many families can’t afford a holiday or treats such as a trip to the cinema or a meal out.

They feel stressed because they have to deny their children lifeenhancing experiences.
