Death of a decent man
i WaS in tears reading the special report about how decent family man Vijay Patel was murdered for refusing to sell cigarette papers to youngsters (mail).
He was working hard to provide for his family and educate his sons. How brave of his family to donate his organs so that desperately ill people would have a chance of a decent life, something that has been cruelly denied to mr Patel.
The perpetrator will serve his time for this offence, but will come out of jail with most of his life still before him. mr Patel’s family have a lifetime bereavement — there is no short sentence for them.
is it any wonder people feel the justice system is not on the side of the victim? Mrs ALEX ARMSTRONG,
