Rihanna tie-up leaves Harvey Nicks on song
RIHANNA’S make-up range boosted sales at Harvey Nichols last year.
The department store, which has an agreement to sell the pop star’s line Fenty Beauty exclusively in the UK, saw sales rise 8.5pc to £210m in the year to March 31. It also swung to a £773,000 profit from a £7.3m loss a year earlier following major refurbishment works at its flagship store in Knightsbridge. Harvey Nichols, which has eight stores in the UK and Ireland and seven overseas, said sales across the group had benefited from the beauty tie-up with Rihanna ( pictured).
It said its latest results were ‘encouraging in light of the current difficult retail trading environment’.
