Eye on top job

ONE of the most ardent advocates of mandatory reselection of Labour MPs is Corbynista Chris Williamson.

The Derby North MP, a vegan former social worker, has spoken in 30 constituencies from Scotland to Cornwall to drum up support for the change.

He explains: ‘Labour MPs in safe seats currently have a job for life.’

But many cynics suspect Williamson has an alternative agenda — trying to raise his own profile as a possible successor to Corbyn.
