Was the Bodyguard TV finale worth the hype?

I, LIKE many thousands, watched the series Bodyguard, and up until the last episode found it quite good. I served 32 years as a detective and 12 years as an investigator, and the last episode was, in my opinion, wholly absurd. The only thing that was correct about it was the fact that all the senior police officers were female!

I AM sorry to be a party pooper but I cannot be the only one to think that the climax of the BBC drama Bodyguard was absolute rubbish. It was something that had promised so much but delivered so little. A bit like the Labour Party manifesto, I guess.

John Collins, chelmsford, essex. the finale of Bodyguard was rubbish! David Budd’s (played by Richard Madden) thumb was taped down over the button — it was not a dead man’s switch, so they could have shot him at any time and the bomb wouldn’t have gone off!

I HAVE not read any reviews but we watched the final episode of Bodyguard last night and I thought it was extremely tedious. I don’t know why they extended the time of the episode. It seemed to plod and was extremely repetitive, totally lacking the sense of anticipation many of the U.S. versions of this sort of story have.
