He fails to name ‘six tests’ for deal... ... and lied about his work for Iran

-

THEY’RE supposed to be Labour’s key requirements for any Brexit deal – but Jeremy Corbyn was unable to name his party’s ‘six tests’.

He has insisted he will order his MPs to vote down any deal if it fails to pass the tests, which include demands for the ‘exact same benefits’ as EU membership and a ‘strong and collaborative future relationship’ with Europe. But when challenged by the BBC’s political editor Laura Kuenssberg to name them on Tuesday, he reeled off a list of separate demands.

When Miss Kuenssberg listed the real ones and told him ‘that’s not precisely what you just outlined’, Mr Corbyn responded: ‘Well, you’ve got the six tests there and you have read them out. You can see exactly what they are.’

THE Labour leader has been caught lying over his claims that he stopped appearing on Iranbacked Press TV after a clampdown by the regime on its political opposition.

The crackdown began in 200 – but Jeremy Corbyn’s last paid appearance on the stateowned broadcaster was in 2012. In a Channel 4 News interview on Tuesday he repeated earlier claims that he stopped appearing on the station amid a crackdown on opposition protests after the 200 elections. But in a 2012 interview on Press TV he appeared to voice support for more than 1,000 convicted Palestinian terrorists. Mr Corbyn received up to £20,000 from Press TV for interviews between 200 and 2012, according to his register of financial interests.
