Oops! Diane does it again

TRAGIC to report, but Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott has suffered another car-crash TV interview.

On BBC2’s Newsnight, she was challenged on Labour’s immigration policy by presenter Emily Maitlis, who asked: ‘Do you worry by saying it [Brexit] is not about immigration — you somehow confirm Labour as a middle-class, London-centric, Uber-liberal, youthobsessed party that is handing P45s to your MPs in the North.’

A rattled Abbott retorted: ‘You are reading from a Tory script!’

To which Maitlis majestically replied: ‘That was from a Labour member who was in the hall.’
