FURYK PROVES HE’S NO COWBOY

JIM FURYK is playing it straight down the line so far and was keen not to encourage comparisons with Hal Sutton (right), America’s hapless 2004 captain who wore a 10-gallon hat and disastrously paired Tiger Woods with Phil Mickelson. Asked if he was tempted to sport the same headwear, Furyk replied: ‘I’m not from Texas and we don’t wear a lot of 10-gallon hats in Pennsylvania.’
