Ramsey won’t be forced out at the Emirates

AARON RAMSEY could opt to stay at Arsenal beyond January despite the club putting him up for sale.

Sportsmail revealed yesterday that the Wales midfielder is set to leave after talks over a new deal collapsed. Ramsey’s contract expires at the end of the season, but Arsenal will consider offers for him in January as they look to avoid losing the 27-year-old on a free transfer. However, Ramsey knows he could earn more from a lucrative Bosman move next summer, when he is also likely to have more offers. With that in mind, Ramsey is more inclined to hold on until the end of the season before deciding on his next club. Manchester United and Chelsea will be contenders for Ramsey’s signature, while Juventus are also in the mix. Meanwhile Danny Welbeck — who is also out of contract in June — insists he is happy despite still waiting for his first league start of the season. Welbeck, who is Arsenal’s joint-top scorer with four goals, said: ‘A few of the lads had more of a pre-season than me. I got 90 minutes in the Europa League, 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup and I’m just going to build on it and keep improving.’
