is meant to bring wisdom, but eccentric fashion designer Dame Zandra Rhodes just seems to be getting angry.

‘Someone got me so cross the other day that I slammed a book I was working with to the ground, and broke the binding,’ admits the 78-year-old, whose colourful creations were worn by Princess Diana and Queen’s Freddie Mercury.

Pink-haired Dame Zandra lives with Salah Hassanein, her partner of more than 30 years. ‘I didn’t have any children, and I certainly would not wish to have an animal,’ she declares. ‘My boyfriend had a dog, and I was very happy when it got too old to live.’

Let’s hope no one ever says the same about her.
