Sorrell’s new firm makes FTSE debut

-

SIR Martin Sorrell promised to deliver a ‘new era’ of marketing services as he returned to the London Stock Exchange with his latest venture.

The advertising mogul, who quit WPP earlier this year, is planning to rebuild his empire with the launch of a digital marketing firm through investment vehicle S4 Capital.

The 73-year-old left WPP following allegations of spending company funds on a prostitute, which he has denied.

Sorrell said his latest business would provide brands with ‘new era digital marketing services’.

He formed the group through the reversal of S4 Capital into listed investment firm Derriston Capital, and subsequently merged with Dutch production giant Media Monks. Shares in S4 Capital fell from an opening of 156.5p to close at 137.5p.
