Sorrell lambasts WPP

-

ADVERTISING chief sir martin sorrell has slammed his old firm WPP for being close to negligent.

The 73-year-old, who was ousted after allegedly paying a prostitute with company money, which he denies, attacked WPP for selling its stake in marketing software firm Globant.

and he claimed that no one else would be able to replace him at the helm of WPP, which he built from nothing into the world’s largest advertising agency over three decades.

sorrell, who remains one of the company’s biggest shareholders, said the sale of Globant was a blow to WPP’s prospects. He said: ‘I think it is bordering on negligent. There really is nobody looking out for WPP.’
