Pru’s UK arm appoints chair

-

THE UK arm of Prudential has appointed Mike Evans as chairman as it gears up for a split from its parent firm.

Bosses are breaking the insurer in two – one firm to be focused on the us and Asia, and a second serving Britain which will be called M&G Prudential.

Evans, 57, will chair the latter arm after the break-up happens in late 2019 or 2020. He has previously been chairman of savings giant Hargreaves Lansdown and property search engine Zoopla.

He will work alongside M&G Prudential chief executive John Foley.
