Sacre bleu! Chanel floods Paris palace for fashion extravaganza (and Baywatch Pamela dips her toes)
THIS time, there were no struggling swimmers to save or killer sharks to fend off. The daring red swimsuit was nowhere to be seen, either, but Pamela Anderson was definitely back in familiar territory – of sorts.
The 51-year-old former Baywatch star was pictured at Paris Fashion Week on – naturally – a fake beach. Chanel turned the Grand Palais des Champs-Elysees into an idyllic shore, complete with boardwalk, lifeguards, dunes and panoramic blue sky. Instead of heels, models splashed through the beach ‘catwalk’ in bare feet. Miss Anderson, in a Chanel coat and pearl encrusted skirt, said she was somewhat surprised at being invited to the display. The former Playboy model, who was in Baywatch for five series from 1992 to 1997, said: ‘And now I realise, OK, OK. We’re at the beach.’
