Instagram names boss

A CLOSE ally of Mark zuckerberg has been put in charge at Instagram after the Facebook-owned company’s founders quit.

Adam Mosseri, an American father-of-two, has taken over after founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger walked out last week. He spent a decade at Facebook where he worked closely with the social media site’s founder, zuckerberg.

His promotion follows tensions over the future direction of Instagram, with Systrom and Krieger said to have resisted as its parent company tightened its grip.
