Wolves grab final spot

tOM LInehAM booked Warrington’s ticket to the Super League grand final with victory over rivals St helens at Langtree Park last night.

the 26-year-old wing scored two tries for the Wolves to set up a showdown at Old trafford next Saturday against the winner of tonight’s clash between Wigan and Castleford. Warrington’s tyrone Roberts exchanged penalties with Danny Richardson in a pulsating first half and, with the scores tied 2-2 as the interval neared, half-back Richardson added his first of three drop goals to give his side a 3-2 lead.

After the break the game began to open up as Saints’ Luke Douglas dotted down, with Jack hughes and Lineham responding for Warrington.

As Saints trailed with 12 minutes remaining, Richardson added another one-pointer to draw them level at 12-12. that was followed by a third moments later which appeared to have sealed victory for them. But Lineham crashed over late on to give Warrington the win and a ticket to Old trafford. WARRINGTON 18
