After Cup horror, another fan is hit

-

A WOMAN was left with a nasty head injury when she was hit by a wayward tee shot from defending champion and Ryder Cup winner Tyrrell Hatton on the first day of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The spectator was bleeding from the head and was treated on the course by paramedics. She was then taken by buggy to the medical centre on site at Kingsbarns, one of three courses used for the pro-am event. A week ago, a woman suffered a serious eye injury after being struck by a shot from American Brooks Koepka at the Ryder Cup. Koepka, who is also playing in the Dunhill, was this week devastated to hear of reports that the woman had been blinded in one eye. He said: ‘It was one of the worst days of my life. I wasn’t told until I got to the course. I am really heartbroken.’
