So it is not just a director of football that Manchester United need, but a director of traffic, too. Seventy-five minutes to get the 2.3 miles from the Lowry hotel to old trafford? Who plans these itineraries? Manchester is a building site right now. there are any number of diversions and road closures and one of the main ones runs between Jose Mourinho’s hotel suite and his football club. While it is going on, the Lowry is one of the least convenient places in the city to stay. So why does nobody from Manchester United know that? it is as if the whole club is owned and run by people from out of town, who have no clue about the city that bears their name. oh.
