I hope it’s not A Star Is Yawn
SuSPICIouS as I am of the highly heralded remake of A Star Is Born, starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, I was disheartened by one critic’s review.
It said Cooper, who also directs, ‘recently claimed that he is driven by “the wound of being human” and has brought that same po-faced seriousness to this flimsy project about two navel-gazing nitwits who have to cope with the pressures of being globally recognised millionaire megastars’.
I’ve booked my tickets for this weekend — just hope it’s not as ‘ titter- inducingly bad’ as the reviewer says.
