Does every wife need a second ‘husband’? sky sports broadcaster Natalie Pinkham reveals that her businessman spouse, owain Walbyoff, has generously arranged for his handsome stockbroker pal Adam ‘Bidders’ Bidwell to stand in for him when required.

‘Adam describes himself as “the husband without benefits”,’ Natalie tells me at the unveiling of a Guggi sculpture at London’s embassy Gardens. ‘owain doesn’t get jealous. If he can’t be bothered to come to something, he sends Adam.’

Bidders, who once courted soprano Katherine Jenkins, does have a racier side — he joined pal Prince Harry on that infamous trip to Las Vegas.
