Savings boost

LEEDS Building Society has launched an 18-month fixed-rate savings bond today paying 1.8 pc.

The bond runs until March 31, 2020, with a minimum investment of £100. It is one of the top-paying deals on the market, although Kent reliance offers a one-year bond at 1.9 pc in branches.
