Debt advice rises

RECORD numbers of borrowers are calling debt charity StepChange. In the first six months of the year, 326,897 people called for advice, up from 326,639 in the first half of 2017. Concerns about council tax arrears, rising energy costs and repaying payday loans made up the majority of calls.
