STEPHEN MILLS, 37, from london, works as an actor, bookkeeper and events manager.

STEPHEN SAYS:

AS SOON as i saw Mariella i knew i didn’t fancy her and thought to myself: ‘ This is why you don’t do blind dates!’ But she dressed well, looked nice and as soon as we said hello, i knew it would be a decent evening.

although i didn’t fancy her, after a while she started to become more attractive because she has a great personality.

we exchanged numbers and have been texting, but i’m not sure we will meet up a second time. She’s very pretty, just not my type.

MARIELLA SAYS:

I DIDN’T think ‘wow’ when i saw him, or feel that he was the man of my dreams, but he was nice looking — although a little shorter than i’d normally go for. i liked him on the night and he seemed to tick all three boxes. i thought i would see him again, but i had a nagging feeling that he was playing it cool. afterwards he messaged me quite a bit and then i heard nothing for a week. as far as i’m concerned, that’s a non-starter. i did text him and his response was: ‘Just been one of those weeks.’ So i’m out.
