Van boss urged to stand down
PRESSURE is growing for the chairman of van hire company Northgate to step down, after 58pc of shareholders last month rebelled over boardroom bonuses.
Andrew Page has fallen foul of investors who claim he has done little to drive up the business’s value. Activist investor Richard Bernstein, whose fund Crystal Amber is one of the top five shareholders with a 6.3pc stake, said: ‘We think that now is the time for Andrew Page to do the right thing and stand down.’
