GREEN LIGHT ON VOTE FOR SW19 EXPANSION

WiMbLedon last night cleared a major hurdle in a bid to make the biggest expansion in the tournament’s history. Members of Wimbledon Park Golf Club voted by more than the 75 per cent necessary to allow a further ballot which will consider the all england Club’s £65million bid to take over its 73 acres. there is now expected to be a decisive vote in december on whether to accept the offer.
