Red-faced Tom’s all thumbs in theatre mishap
TOM HIDDLESTON was more Mr Bean than Mr Bond when he managed to cut himself on stage at a West End charity gala on Wednesday.
The actor, who is tipped to play 007, injured himself as he performed a Harold Pinter sketch with Fresh Meat star Zawe Ashton (right).
‘It was hugely embarrassing,’ Etoneducated Tom, 37, told me at the afterparty. ‘The folder [from which he was reading] had a very sharp hinge and, as I sat down to pick it up, I literally sliced my thumb open.
‘I think blood on stage is good luck. Is it? I may have just made that up.’
