At 69, Gere the hands-on dad

RICHARD Gere has promised to be a ‘hands-on dad’ – as he is poised to become a father again at 69.

The actor , pictured, is having a child with third wife Alejandra Silva, 35, nearly two decades after his son was born.

He told Sunday Times Magazine he was using his Buddhist beliefs to keep calm ahead of the birth, expected any day. Asked if he was going to be handson, he said: ‘Oh yes.’ Gere has son Homer, 19, with ex -wife Carey Lowell. His first wife was supermodel Cindy Crawford.
