Investors target Metro
ANGrY investors in metro Bank have approached lawyers after an accounting gaffe wiped almost £1bn off its market value.
metro has been targeted by litigation funder Therium, which bankrolls major lawsuits by disgruntled investors in return for a cut of any winnings. Now Stewarts Law and a second unnamed London law firm have been approached by metro shareholders to represent them.
Stewarts brought a shareholder claim against royal Bank of Scotland over its decision to raise £12bn from investors before it collapsed in 2008.
