LEAGUE ONE THIS WEEKEND

- ADAM SHERGOLD

HERO OF THE WEEK

MICK HARFORD (Luton manager): Harford’s legendary status at Kenilworth Road is only being enhanced by the way he has kept their promotion push rolling following Nathan Jones’s departure. Saturday’s 3-0 win over Wycombe was their fifth in a row and they are now a club-record 19 league games unbeaten — and six points clear of second-placed Barnsley.

ZERO OF THE WEEK

TYLER DENTON (Peterborough): Two bookings 10 minutes apart at the end of the first half brought a red card for Denton and contributed to Posh dropping out of the play-off spots, replaced by their conquerors Doncaster. Peterborough had led until Denton’s dismissal, but eventually went down 3-1 as Donny manager Grant McCann earned the bragging rights over his former club.

GOAL OF THE WEEK

KYLE WOOTTON (for Scunthorpe v Accrington): Classy looping volley over the goalkeeper from the corner of the box after a touch to control a knockdown. It set up a 2-0 win.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

‘Football is a man’s game. They have to be responsible for themselves. If they can’t be, they will be out of football. You can’t be nice.’ Gillingham boss Steve Lovell was fuming after the 4-1 loss to Barnsley.

STAT OF THE WEEK

TEN: Charlton are unbeaten in 10 home league games following their 1-1 draw with Southend. It’s their best run since November 2014, although the promotion- chasers will probably consider it two points dropped on Saturday after Southend played more than an hour with 10 men following Dru Yearwood’s red card.
