Russia to cut off internet
RUSSIA plans to unplug the country from the global internet to check its cyber defences.
No date has been set for the test, which would last less than a day, but businesses have expressed concern about possible disruption.
Russia is trying to ensure online activity could continue internally if foreign powers shut its international web links.
Nato and its allies have repeatedly threatened to retaliate over cyber attacks and other online interference that the Kremlin has regularly been accused of instigating.
