Iran: We will flatten Tel Aviv if US attacks

IRAN yesterday vowed to expand its military might and destroy Tel Aviv in revenge for any attack by the United States.

President Hassan Rouhani blasted a US ‘conspiracy’ against the country as vast crowds marked 40 years since the Islamic revolution at a time of heightened tensions with Washington.

He said Iran was determined to expand its military power and ballistic missile programme, state TV reported.

A senior Revolutionary Guards commander added: ‘If (the US) attack us, we will raze Tel Aviv.’
