AFTER scooping two Grammy awards already this month at the tender age of 23, she is fast becoming pop’s rising star.

And Dua Lipa topped off her stellar awards season with a London homecoming as she took home the Brit Award for Best British Single last night.

One Kiss, her song with DJ Calvin Harris, saw off competition from chart-topping heavyweights Paloma Faith, George Ezra and Jess Glynne.

Miss Lipa, whose Kosovan parents fled to London in the 1990s to escape the brutal war, ensured all eyes were on her as she arrived wearing a bright fuchsia silk skirt with a plunging lace bodice.

She was met on the red carpet by girl group Little Mix who, never ones to shy away from the spotlight, gave the singer a run for her money in the glamour stakes in a series of revealing gowns.

Jesy Nelson, 27, opted for a black lace number complete with sheer panelling to show off her figure, while bandmate Perrie Edwards, 25, chose a strapless blue dress with a daringly high slit over the thigh.

Jade Thirlwall, 26, donned a white leotard, worn underneath a sheer diamondencrusted dress which showed off her legs. She stood alongside LeighAnne Pinnock, 27, who revealed her midriff completely, opting to wear a skimpy emerald green halter top and a matching silk skirt.

Later they changed into garish pink outfits for their performance during the awards ceremony, and celebrated after winning the Best British Video award for their hit Woman Like Me.

Jorja Smith, 21, who scooped the British Female Solo Artist award, chose an even stranger ensemble – a mini-dress reminiscent of a colourful, patterned lampshade with a fluffy red trim and matching shoes.

Hollywood star Hugh Jackman, 50, kicked off the night with a spectacular performance, stunning the crowd as he sang hits from his musical The Greatest Showman. He dazzled the audience alongside aerial acrobats and explosions of gold confetti. Host Jack Whitehall joked that Jackman was ‘ an actor, singer, all-round entertainer – Australia’s answer to Bradley Walsh’.

It was also a big night for George Ezra, 25, who took the award for British Male Solo Artist. Ed Sheeran won the Global Success Award for the second year running thanks to the popularity of his album, Divide, in the US.
