ANYTHING YOU CAN DO, HOLLY!

Amanda takes on daytime TV rival with launch of her own fashion line

- By Eleanor Sharples

THEY rarely appear on television without getting noticed for what they are wearing. Now Holly Willoughby and Amanda Holden are going headto-head in the fashion stakes.

This Morning presenter Miss Willoughby has become the face of Marks & Spencer with her Holly’s Must-Haves range since she was appointed brand ambassador for the high street giant in September.

And Britain’s Got Talent judge Miss Holden, who has often stood in for Miss Willoughby on the popular daytime show, is doing something similar. The 48-year-old is being paid by fashion brand Fenn Wright Manson to promote their clothing.

The label, which relaunched four years ago, is aimed towards the older market and those with perhaps a larger budget than shoppers at M&S.

Miss Holden posted pictures of herself modelling her selection from the Fenn Wright Manson springsummer 2019 collection on her Instagram page.

She posed in a £169 black and white polka dot Camilla midi dress, a £199 navy and white floral Aubrie jumpsuit and a £99 sleeveless black and white polka dot Camilla top with loose tie at the neck. Miss Holden wrote: ‘I’m selecting some of my favourite pieces by @fennwrightmanson. The Camilla Dress, Camilla Top and Aubrie Jumpsuit are all lovely and going straight into my summer wardrobe. Click the link in my bio to shop.’

It seems she has been a fan of Fenn Wright Manson for some time, often wearing their designs when she was on This Morning. Her endorsement comes as high street retailers attempt to do all they can to improve sales and especially to get women to click ‘buy’ as they scroll on their websites.

As Miss Willoughby does for M&S, Miss Holden has her own section on Fenn Wright Manson’s website. Titled Amanda Holden Favourites, it comprises seven pieces chosen by the mother of two from the new collection.

Miss Holden’s partnership with Fenn Wright Manson comes a week after Miss Willoughby, 38, showed off her latest range of ‘M&S must-haves’, which focuses on denim and cowgirl-inspired outfits. The popularity of the ‘denim edit’ range speaks for itself as many items, including a £55 boiler suit – the most expensive item in the range – have already sold out.

A spokesman for Fenn Wright Manson said: ‘Amanda has collaborated with Fenn Wright Manson for a social media post as she is a fan of the brand, it is only for Instagram.’

Marks & Spencer, Holly Willoughby and Amanda Holden have been contacted for comment.
