Business to the rescue

-

IT’S about time MPs stopped massaging their own egos and stopped giving their personal choices priority above the wishes of the electorate, and voted Mrs May’s deal

through. This would give uK business the stability it needs, regardless of how bad the deal is, as it will be superseded by the deal for our future relationship with the Eu.

This is why we need to get a Brexit- supporting prime minister and cabinet to start the negotiations.

This time, every MP should stand four-square behind the prime minister to ensure the best deal possible. Had Parliament done that when Mrs May became prime minister, there would be less acrimony now as the deal would have been improved.

MPs who have been trying to kill off or water down Brexit are to blame for the poor deal, not Mrs May. When the next phase of negotiations starts, it should be run by business people who know what they are doing, not inexperienced civil servants or MPs. SUEASHCOMBEHURT,Sandbach, I CAN no longer vote Conservative after Mrs May invited a Marxist for talks on Brexit.

She says she fears the breakup of the uK, but I would rather be rid of the DuP than accept Corbyn anywhere near Downing Street.

Corbyn would love to give Northern Ireland to Dublin. What if he wants this as a condition of agreeing to help Mrs May?

I served in the Armed Forces and would fear for its future, and that of the monarchy, if Corbyn gained control. No deal is the only option. THOMASSAYERS, Saltburn, Yorks.
