Why Labour’s mob can never be trusted

-

HORRIFYING as it seems, it is entirely possible that within weeks Britain may have a Jeremy Corbyn-led government.

In that appalling scenario, Diane Abbott would be Labour’s Home Secretary – responsible for law and order.

She portrays herself as a progressive champion of victims and, especially, women’s rights. How quickly the mask has slipped.

Yesterday we saw a warped Stalinist worldview where the sickening crimes of others can be ignored and expunged – as long as you are political bedfellows.

Take Julian Assange – holed up for seven years in Ecuador’s embassy after skipping bail to avoid extradition on rape charges.

To Miss Abbott, the WikiLeaks founder’s arrest was motivated purely by his leaking ‘embarrassing’ secret US military files.

Risibly, she dismissed the rape claims, as ‘charges were never brought’. No – because the coward refused to leave his bolthole.

The fact Assange was guilty of a crime in Britain – absconding – and was wanted for allegedly sexually attacking two women in Sweden didn’t appear to trouble her.

According to her skewed logic, because WikiLeaks had cooperated with Vladimir Putin to damage the West, he was on the side of the angels. And to Hell with the women who insist they were assaulted.

All this from someone one step away from being entrusted with crime-fighting and national security. It fills us with horror.

Chillingly, her views are entirely consistent with those of Mr Corbyn and his 1970s-style Marxist rabble, which contemptibly backed the Kremlin over the Salisbury attacks.

What a warning to anyone tempted to give them power!
