Top snapper Hugo will help Gabriella tie Windsor knot

-

PRINCESS Michael of Kent, who is known for her ambition, has achieved something of an artistic coup ahead of her daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor’s wedding this afternoon.

The Czech- born Princess has managed to secure the services of celebrated photographer Hugo Burnand.

He took the official wedding pictures for Prince Charles and Camilla in 2005, and again when Prince William married Kate Middleton in 2011.

‘ It will be a hat- trick of royal weddings for Hugo,’ one of his friends jokes at Fitzdares Maison de Saison luxury womenswear pop-up in London’s Savile Row. ‘He’s honoured.’

The Queen is due to be among the guests when Ella Windsor, as she’s known to pals, ties the knot with dashing financier Tom Kingston, 40, at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, where Prince Harry wed Meghan last year.

Ella, 38, is the great-granddaughter of George V, and her father Prince Michael is a beloved first cousin of the Queen.

Burnand declined to comment, but pals say he was well-positioned to win the commission through his work for Tatler. Ella has written for the society magazine, while her brother, Lord Freddie Windsor, was once its rock critic.

No doubt Burnand ( right) has been

visiting art galleries as he prepares for the big day. Before the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding, he studied portraits by Gainsborough. Today’s commission positions him as the pre- eminent royal photographer after allegations against Mario Testino, who was known for his informal portraits of Princess Diana, and also captured Princes William and Harry. Testino has been out of the limelight since he was accused of sexual harassment last year by 13 male assistants and models who worked with him. One royal who will be conspicuous by his absence today is Prince William: he’ll be at Wembley for the Cup Final in his role as President of the FA. Last year, he had to miss the match as Harry also chose to get married on Cup Final Day.
