BOXING LEGEND What’s My Name: Muhammad Ali, 9pm, Sky Atlantic

IT’S hard for any documentar­y about Ali to fail, simply because the subject is so magnetic. And this — directed by Southpaw’s Antoine Fuqua and hailing from HBO — is very far from a failure. This first of a polished two-parter uses rare archive footage and plenty of Ali’s own words to tell his story.

KIWI CRIME The Bad Seed, 9pm, Alibi

THE New Zealand crime drama based on Charlotte Grimshaw’s novels comes to a close. Mereana is sure that Simon sent someonemeo­ne to attack her, while Simon is struggling to persuade the police to accept his new insight into the murder. At least election day means Roza (Chelsie Preston-Crayford, pictured) has something to celebrate.

THE extraordin­ary tale of Detroit musician Sixto Diaz Rodriguez, who bombed in the U.S. but became huge in South Africa via bootleg recordings. Rodriguez was said to be dead, but here, two fans go in search of his story. (Sky 183, Virgin 219)

‘WHEN it comes time to catch crab, we don’t have time to be nice.’ Fraternal spirit is in short supply among the fishermen in the new season of this reality show as they force each other away from valued territory. As they do so, the footage of the ships is impressive.
