MICHAEL Sheen is to become a father again at the age of 50 – with his new girlfriend who is half his age.
The Welsh actor has been dating Swedish model and actress Anna Lundberg for a matter of months.
At 25 she is only five years older than Lily, Sheen’s daughter by actress Kate Beckinsale.
Sheen, who currently plays an angel in TV series Good Omens, confirmed news of the pregnancy on Twitter late on Wednesday, telling his followers: ‘My partner Anna and I are expecting a little angel of our own.’
And yesterday the couple made their first public appearance since the news broke. They arrived at Cardiff University, where Sheen was being made an honorary fellow, with Miss Lundberg’s baby bump already visible in a navy blue floral sundress.
The pair were first linked in May when she shared a number of photos of them together on social media.
They flew to Los Angeles in June but the Swedish-born rising star is ‘currently living in the UK’ according to her biography on Instagram.
Her website states that she completed a three-year theatre programme in Sweden before moving to Britain after signing up to summer courses at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and Guildford School of Acting.
It was only in March that Sheen was thought to have split from Irish actress and comedian Aisling Bea, 35. They had struck up a romance in April 2018.
Prior to that, Sheen had been in a four-year relationship with American comedian Sarah Silverman, which ended in December 2017.
They decided to go their separate ways after Sheen realised he wanted to return to Britain in the wake of Brexit and Miss Silverman wanted to focus on political issues in the US.
Sheen said: ‘It led to me wanting to address the issues that I thought led some people to vote the way they did about Brexit, in the area I come from and others like it.
‘I felt a responsibility to do something, but it did mean coming back here – which was difficult for us, because we were very important to each other. But we both acknowledge that each of us had to do what we needed to do.’
Sheen is father to 20-yearold Lily Mo Sheen with exgirlfriend Miss Beckinsale, 45, whom he was in a relationship with from 1995 to 2003.
The British actress also seems to have a penchant for dating people nearly half her age since her split from her film director ex-husband Len Wiseman in 2016.
She has enjoyed relationships with comedians Pete Davidson, 25, Jack Whitehall, 30, and Matt Rife, 23
But last year she told Tatler that she was torn between enjoying her new-found freedom and settling down and having another child.
