12 teenagers arrested over gang rape of British girl, 19, in Cyprus

TEENAGERS accused of gang-raping a 19-year- old British woman at a Cyprus resort covered their faces outside court yesterday.

The group of 12 Israelis aged between 15 and 18 are accused of holding down the victim, laughing and filming the assault on their phones.

The woman said she had been at a party with one of the men who she met three days earlier and had slept with on previous occasions, it was reported.

She agreed to go back to his room at the Ayia Napa resort at 12.30am on Wednesday, but once inside, 11 men rushed in and launched their attack, she said in her police complaint.
